With quality waves and a devoted crowd, the Billabong Señoritas Open Pro has made it clear that the surfers are ready to give their all to reach the top of the WSL South America rankings.
Peruvian surfers have stood out on this first day, proudly defending their territory against rivals from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia. Cristóbal de Col and Andrés Echecopar shone in the Open QS 1000 men’s category, while Gabriel Ljubicic and Marcelo Huamán showcased their talent in the junior category, achieving impressive scores that placed them at the top of the podium.
The festive atmosphere of the Billabong Señoritas Open Pro is not limited to the competition in the water. More than 150 surfers from all over South America have gathered to participate in this exciting event, accompanied by beach entertainment activities and the presence of well-known brands that have energized the area from day one. Tomorrow, the excitement continues with the Pro Junior men’s elimination rounds and the start of the women's competition in both categories.
