Magma Sushi Lounge opened its doors 20 years ago when three Peruvian surfers, Bernardo Zignago, Augusto, and Gabriel Villarán, decided to open a sushi restaurant after one of them took a trip to Indonesia, at a time when Nikkei food hadn’t yet reached its peak in Peru.
After several changes in partners, and with Kiko, Bernardo's father, taking over the business, he decided to open a new location in Punta Hermosa after the pandemic, the district where he had moved with his wife.
Today, the menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including makis, sashimi, pokes, tiraditos, just to name a few. Many of these dishes have been around since the beginning, such as the Magma Roll and Krakatoa, but they have also included new creations that are amazing.
Don’t miss visiting their location in Ballestas and sitting down in this delicious place where, after 20 years, you can still feel the same vibe as the day they first opened their doors.
