The name ‘Playa Negra’ comes from its distinctive black and grayish sand, also known as the ‘central beach’ due to its location in the heart of the district, making it more easily accessible. Additionally, the shoreline has a more uniform bottom and less turbulent waters, which is why it attracts a large number of visitors in the summer, making it the most crowded beach.

In this place, there are designated areas for surfers of different levels.

• • La Playita  For those who are just learning to stand up in the board.
  • La Puntilla:  With waves breaking towards right. When the sea swells, perfect tubes and good sections emerge, very close to the shore.
  • La Isla:  Longer and more powerful, breaking on both sides, with better conditions on the right where several sections with walls form, allowing for various surftricks, including the possibility of catching a tube.

Don't forget to take your waste with you when you leave. We're not asking you to clean the beach, just not to litter it.
